Mrs. Kathryn Jasper was honored by the church during the Mother's Day Worship Service on May 11, 2003 as "Woman of the Year".� She received a standing ovation in recognition of her many years of service as Chairperson of the Finance Committee and in assuming the Upper Room ministry after the passing of her mother, Mrs. Mabel Sorrells. Many members of her family were in attendance, including her husband, Mr. Ronald Jasper; son, Mr. Ronald Jasper, Jr.; sister, Mrs. Mabel Bounds, brother-in- law, Mr. Raymond Bounds,� nephew, Mr. David�Bounds, his wife and son; and nephew, Master Mark Bounds.
